Description:

For seniors or graduate students demonstrating interest in a career in a field directly related to water resources. Qualifications include demonstrated scholastic ability, leadership potential and character.

Established and funded by family, friends and students in honor and recognition of Dr. Dan M. Wells, who served as Director of the Water Resources Center at Texas Tech University from 1967 to 1977.

Inquires should be directed to the director of the Water Resources Center. Applications due on a date set in spring of each year. Awards are made for the following academic year.

Open to all Majors

GPA:

Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA during his/her previous two (2) semesters in college.

Other Requirements:

Recipients may hold no other scholarships. Applicants required demonstrating their interest in pursuing a career in water resources by writing a brief paper outlining their goals, ambitions and previous work, courses or other involvement in water resources. The paper is limited to one typewritten page.
